The implant itself is shaped and designed to replace a tooth root. When a single implant is placed in the jawbone, it can support or retain a single prosthetic tooth (or dental crown). A few implants placed and integrated with the jawbone can anchor a dental bridge to replace many teeth. 

And when as few as 4 to 6 implants are placed, they can effectively stabilize a full upper or lower denture. With advanced materials and techniques, all teeth may be replaced with as few as eight to twelve dental implants, precisely positioned in the bone to retain upper and lower dentures. 

Since Dr. Nelson makes the most of available bone and strategic surgical positioning, a minimal number of implants may be placed to support a maximal number of prosthetic teeth. So, such implant-retained systems are also an exceptional value. After all, the implant represents the most expensive part of the process. 

Furthermore, this approach promotes the most comfortable experience by minimizing the time spent in treatment and the number of treatment sites. Additionally, because implant dentures help maintain the jawbone’s strength, these prostheses can retain their fit for life with proper care. Unlike their conventional counterparts, these dentures require fewer ongoing readjustments (such as relining and rebasing). They continue to function and look as good as the day you received them!
